Every child develops at their own pace. Some may need extra support with communication, play, social interaction or sensory needs. Recognising these needs early helps families find the right support.
Sensory needs: Does your child feel overwhelmed by sounds, textures or busy places, or constantly seek movement?
Social communication: Do they share enjoyment, point to interesting things and join simple games?
These behaviours alone do not indicate a developmental difficulty. Consider your child’s age and overall development.
Follow your child’s interests, use simple language and give them time to respond. Read, sing, offer choices and practise taking turns. Respect their sensory needs and celebrate small achievements.
If you have concerns, speak with your child’s paediatrician. Seek advice promptly if they lose skills they previously had.
Our experienced interventionists use age-appropriate assessments to understand your child’s strengths and needs. Together with families, we develop meaningful goals, teach skills through the child’s interests and monitor progress. With parental consent, we also collaborate with other professionals.
We believe every behaviour has a function. Understanding what your child is communicating helps us support safer, more effective ways to express their needs.
At Blooming Minds, every small step matters as we help children achieve their full potential.
